Description Canadian National 6789 is an ALCO (MLW) built FPA4 engine. It now operates on the Monticello Railroad Museum in Monticello, IL.

These units don't get anywhere near the love they deserve. They have their own unique charm. They also gather charm from two other sources.
1) They are distantly related to the EMD F-Series (Same era, same assignments, and similar looks)
2) They're smoky ALCO's.
Some of the reason they don't get more love is because they were introduced late and never sold as many units as EMD's F-Series.
