Yeah... the weather's terrible lately. >_<;; The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is a good book, though! Very enjoyable and hilarious xD It's just that I read it at the wrong time yesterday, ahaha
So far it's better than the movie (don't they always). I haven't finished it, let alone read the rest of the series, so please no spoilers!

Haven't read it myself, but I can say that I do enjoy thunderstorms. It's calm to just sitt down and listen to them... maybe I'm the only one thinking that, but that's my opinion anyways.
And also, maybe not the best time to start reading it, yeah
