"Xenovia, you're not with Dokku and Shiseru's kids celebrating the Ninja Festival?"

"Whoa that's a very nice kimono you have on there Xenovia. Thanks, this is the first time I've worn one," said the bluenette.

"...Why are you here?" Naruto asked his friend.

"Sora asked where you were since she assumed you were going to be my date to the festival," she responds. "I told her you were taking some time for yourself before joining me." Naruto apologizes to Xenovia, telling her he was just staying up here to remember the time he watched the fireworks with Kureha from where they were standing, recalling how his first Ninja Festival in the Hidden Leaf wasn't very good compared to the one he enjoyed at the Chuuma Village, where he had met Sagiri and Hibari Ameno.

"Yeah, Sakura and Ino told me about how they kind of ruined it for you by trying to be nice to you." Naruto responds by saying they were over trying way too hard and it annoyed him. "That makes sense...Did I come at a wrong time?"

"No, I just finished remembering the one good memory of that time is all," he assured the bluenette.

"I see...This is a nice spot to watch fireworks from," Xenovia tells Naruto, having took the time to look at her surroundings. "Who picked this spot?”

“She did,” Naruto answered.

“Perhaps we can bring those kids up here to watch."

"I'd have to use shadow clones to get them up here."

"It'll be worth it to give them quite an amazing view of the fireworks...I had Sai watch over them before I came here. By now they're done eating." Getting up from where he was sitting, he tells Xenovia they should go to the kids before Sai decides to tell them about something weird.

"Oh, before we meet up with them..." Naruto looked confused when Xenovia extended her left hand to him, until she said, "Be my date?" Naruto's cheeks immediately turned red from hearing his friend ask him to accompany her as her date. "It'll prevent guys from hitting on me. It’ll be like old times when you pretended to be my boyfriend so that pushy guy would leave me alone.” Once the bluenette formed out a smile on her lips, Naruto was already at the palm of her hand.

"S-Sure," Naruto said to Xenovia as he took her hand. Immediately after, Naruto scoops Xenovia up in his arms like a bride, the bluenette's face now a cherry red from this sudden action of his.

"Na-Naruto!?"

"I don't want to get dirt on your beautiful kimono from having you jump down." Xenovia didn't respond after, her face feeling hot from hearing him call her kimono beautiful. "As assurance, wrap your arms around me."

"R-Right..."
