Dunno if you've tried that already, but here are a few...weak suggestions for the flames and fire.
Might be able to do that by selecting the parts you want to change and adding a new layer for each bit of fire (so you don't mess up the shot if it doesn't workout properly AND so you dont have to start over if you mess 1 flame up halfway through, lol).
I know that, at least, with Paint Shop Pro, they have a flame in the 'picture tube' tool. It probably would be a delicate task to add each little bit of flame, though... even with zooming way in to see better.
Duplicate your layer, select (with the freehand lasso thingie) the parts you want to add fire and flames to, make the flames's scale very small. OR you can draw the flames in yourself, if you know how to do that... It would probably look more natural too.
No guarantees that it would work, but that's the only thing I could think of...
Now, with Photoshop, I don't know how to go about that, and they don't have 'picture tubes' in it... that I know of.
I don't know what program you use, so I can't help you much more than that, I'm afraid. Just my own two cents...
