The Gods and their Religion
"The gods are mysterious, potent spirits, bidding their own will as they please with only regard to their own well-being. That being said, the gods are mostly benevolent beings, if you pay them their due respect." -Magister Sounde
There are many gods, the most commonly worshipped being Madarad, whom the southeners deem as the King of Gods.
The gods are mostly mortal, actually, and can die, however the Nembras on the earth believe them to be immortal and invincible.
Gods wear titles after their deeds or their opinions, ex. Madarad calls himself the God of Ideals.
Different gods like to grant different things, like the Red God who is a mischievous being who likes to play with the ones who pray to him. He gifts them boons or curses them with trouble, he'll do it anyway he wants to, and this clashes with what the other gods see as "right"
The gods form Pantheons with others whos opinions fit with theirs. The Red God and the other outcasts did not form Pantheons. Madarad is not an outcast, but he is also without a Pantheon
The religion

Each god is celebrated differently, and they can decide if they wish to guide their followers on how to celebrate the particular god, however most Pantheons decide against the notion of contacting the true mortal nembras too much.
Generally it is said that pale, white, or bright nembras are especially close to the gods, and are in their favor.
Loose, simple clothes are often the main theme for all religions, except that of Hime, the God of Ecstacy, who loves to be cherished in all the most meaningful things, like gold and experiences. His priests are clothed in the gear he projects to being most fitting, often as scantily clad as it happens to be.
Priests and devout followers overall are seen as important members of a society, as they relay the gods will through their praires, ceremonies and celebrations.
Many celebrations are just for gods, like the Golden Week in the capital of the south, where they celebrate all that is Madarad and his ideals.
The North
They mostly worship Pantheons of Old Gods (the often seen as wisest, as they've lived centuries).
Here the religion is spread across the people, and no religion seems to outlast the other.
Its meaning to the people mostly includes celebrations and bringing people closer socially, or perhaps recieving boons for all important matters.
The South
Madarad is the biggest god here, as the King proclaimed.
The religion's meaning is to keep order, unity and economy of the people. Madarad is celebrated due to his ideals that embody what the south rose from.
Religion is much stricter in the south, and heathens are seen as highly traitorous nembra, who bring Outcasts like the Red God to the city.
Madarad (as depicted above) is often drawn or told of to be a pale/white nembra with the longest most exquisite fur (ironically enough), his bones made of gold. A gloria is often used to depict his divinity, as it is believed to be his center of wisdom and power.
