I have not made up one officially, but I imagine asking for blessings during the crafting of an item might be a way
Perhaps naming tools/weapons/stuff after the god and his many names
No no, everyone can do it like they want to!
It's just that some ways are more accepted, like just taking a quiet moment to try to communicate with the god, but any way is possible

More questions!
So, if a Nembra wanted to become a priest of a particular god, would he have to undergo some sort of training or rite of passage to become so?

Well it would depend on what god (gosh there are so many; I like people having choices!)
But generally, yes!
Like ex. Madarad needs vows to be made, as well as some proof of devotion to the god.

What about for Hime? ;u;
I'm kind of planning for my MYO to have hopes of becoming a priest of Him, so I'd love to know about him in particular! >w<

Well, HAHA NOW THAT YOU MENTION HIM
I kind of had an idea for there being an arch-bishop kind of thing, that would need to inspect your physical attributes and abilites, so to speak, to see if you'd please Hime in his temples
he doesn't always descend to his priesthood, but when he does, he's expecting their devotion like he asks for it (he's needy like that)
Not, just exactly how it goes, is up to you *WINK* but generally, the priest needs to be tested and such! ;v;

*nod nod*
Hime is also, besides the physical stuff, a god of fertility and certain emotional things, right? Would priests/priestesses of Hime be good ones to go to for difficulties with pregnancy and childbirth and for issues relating to the emotional aspects of relationships too?

Yes, absolutely!
You could compare them with social service help.
Generally they're known as very kind souls that have very wise words to resolve emotions both good and bad.
Relationship advice, childbirth, loss of children, feuds, love-triangles, vengeance-emotions, so on.

I was wondering if I could get some more info on Northern Gods? I'm thinking that my Nembra would be a Northern Traveller or something, and I'd like to have a specific God that she'd follow. I'm trying to be very detailed with her for the MYO. ^^'

Ah!
I'll have to make a little text about this then.
Mainly there's not so many 'lone gods in the North, but there are some Leaders of Pantheons, like Sedaris, the Goddess of Light and Dawn, or ex Aroudin, the God of Nights
Now these two particularly work together, in the eyes of the northerners. Sedaris brings the day around, whilst Aroudin brings the night. Sedaris protects you from evil spirits during the day(though she can't always be watching), and Aroudin takes over at night. Nembra usually say these two are either lovers or siblings, which ever is true is always debated!
Other important Pantheon Leaders are The Traveler (thought i'd name this one since your Nembra is travelling herself) . Like his name suggests, he travels a lot. Everywhere. He's a saint for all explorers and you can pray to him for a good journey. The Traveler can also be tricky, since he likes to create adventures, for his own amusement, where he somehow guides a Nembra into dangers and mystery. Mostly he does this for stuck up, hybris-struck, fools that go on journeys do defy him as a God.
I'll have to write for about these, but here are some important ones (as well as some that might fit your character)

It's almost definite she'll be a follower of The Traveller, but I might decide to use Sedaris or Aroudin, it'll depend. But thank you for the information, it'll definitely come in handy should I decide to make another entry, and to further elaborate the one I'm currently working on. :3

Phew, finally have time to ask some questions!
Okay, so in the South, those who don't follow Madarad are considered traitorous, correct? So what would be done to any nembra who are found to worship others such as the Red God?
What kind of nembra typically worship the Red God, and what sort of "mischievous" things does he usually curse or gift his followers with?

Arcadine In reply to pistachioSloth [2014-11-15 20:00:53 +0000 UTC]
Ah! Good questions <3
That is correct, it is widely accepted to only follow Madarad in the "civilized" south. Well, they might be made example of, or just plain punished/executed! Some few times the king has ordered for them to be reinstated to follow the religion, brainwashed basically, but it would turn out to not work effectively. Most often, if it's a family member who find their loved ones breaking from the way, it's just kept under the radar of the enforcers!
It's often cults who promise otherwise lost nembra that the Red God will grant them powers the other gods wouldn't (which is partially true, but there is no guarantee for it to be a happy power). He's seen as a god for power, and believed to be more powerful than the benevolent gods. Sometimes it can be abandoned children as well. The Red God is sometimes entitled as the God of Orphans, as he seems to take pity to them for some reason.. Hmm
Well, he doesn't apply any rules to his usage, so he'll play with mortal nembra like he wishes, curse them with vampirism, grant them wings, grows them another limb during the night, it's possible he'll curse them with bad fates, or play with their surroundings, and he doesn't it in many ways!

....I think the Red God is my favorite god lelelelelelel. He sounds the most interesting to associate with, even if you can end up royally screwed over by him lel.
Hm.... I'll have to think of more questions.... Hm. Maybe you could explain the role or powers of the God of Ecstasy a little bit?

Hey, at least he's not just a sex god. XD Emotions and finding love are pretty important. XDDDD
But I definitely guessed he was primarily a perv god from his title and the description of his priests. XD
