The Delopes
[Delos]

Height: 50.4 inches - 4.2 Ft
Weight: 225 lbs
Lifespan: 16 years
Diet: Omnivore

[History]

Delopes are an ancient species in the world of Eastighar with fossil evidence suggesting they began appearing around 14-million years ago. However, the species has only been domesticated for around 2000 years tamed over time through highly-selective breeding.

Nature/Personality:

The Delopes are known to make both amazing family pets and protectors. They tend to be fast learners and will do just about anything if they know they'll be praised for it - and once they associate it with good things, well that behavior will never leave. Be careful what you teach them.

Habitat:
Feral ones usually live around the fields of Perpitiel hunting medium sized rodents and sometimes packing together to hunt the far more dangerous Nezhe.

Intelligence and Emotional Capacity:
-The creatures have the same level of intelligence as an Australian Shepherd.
-The species is capable of befriending one another if properly introduced.

Reproduction:
-Delopes is a monogamous species, meaning they choose a mate and stay with them for their entire life
-Delopes are fully grown and able to breed at 2-years old and can produce offspring once every 3-years.
-There is usually 2-5 babs per litter, however there is a chance of having just 1 in rarer cases.
-Delopes produce sexually, and please don't make me explain any further than that.

Health:

-Delopes have stronger immune systems than most humans and tend to fight off illness easily, however it does get worse as they get older and the older ones are more likely to get sick.
-Delopes are immune to the disease carried by Nezhe.
-When close to death, the light in the tail of the Delopes will begin flickering or crack and go out completely once they've died.
-If the tail light breaks they'll drop dead VERY quickly.
