Description
Inhibition, the first of my new Series - Artscene.

Two beings still connected through physical touch fall into a chilling separation, one caused by the lack of sheer truthful communication between the two. A silence so deep, so cold and heart shattering they begin to freeze - together, yet so far apart.

The "characters" in these series do not have faces, as they also do not have personal names unlike my other creations.

This is intentional and a big part of the philosophy behind my artwork.

By depriving the subjects of facial details and characteristics I am representing "the" animal, and never "an" animal, thus allowing the composition to reach entire new worlds of personal interpretation, something of utmost value and importance to me as a free artist.

This is also my way of achieving a symbiotic metaphor between man and beast - the facial structure is merely a human icon of identity and personality, as shallow as that may sound, it is more often true than otherwise in our society, and has been like that for a while - thus by admitting such features as the animal's identity, I'm approaching wilderness through a psychologically human form, capable of ever so complex expressions, feelings and will.

Note: The ice is actually transparent, not sure you can see it too well in the pics - also, that is a little bird, should of taken a macro of it. Perhaps in an early future.
