In fact, so long that I had to draw his face like 5 times. Still doesn't look like the photo, but at least he looks like himself. I hope.

No..I just write few letters,got a replies from his agent, and after a several month of a patience I finally got it

Actually it's not oil, it's dye ( got lost in the translation D: )
It's something usually used for tables and furniture, but it's also very nice for drawing. It's like brown watercolor, and goes well with Indian ink or watercolor.
