Since we know that convergent Pokémon are a thing that can appear in Pokémon-games, with the likes of Wiglett and Toedscool. I wanted to take a crack at it and design a convergent Pokémon myself. I also do like the idea of regional-fakes because they can appear in multiple regions and not feel out of place. Unlike Regional Variants who are tied to their region. I mean, we can't exactly have Paldean Wooper naturally appear in the wild of another region. People bringing them over, that makes sense. But not otherwise. Maybe we will receive something like this in the rumored DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, a sequel to Pokémon Legends: Arceus or maybe in a future game.

So let me introduce you to the new Pokémon:

LANDRAS is a Ground/Dragon type that is 4 meters tall and weighs 410 kilograms. Its name is based on, "Lapras" and "Land". Since it is a land-based animal unlike the more common aquatic counterpart.

Scientists used to believe that Lapras and Landras had a common ancestor whose descendants evolved into two different directions. However, later studies revealed that these two Pokémon had nothing in common. Their physical appearances are just a result of evolution, in which larger bodies helped them in their respective environments. Landras migrate around the harsh areas of the inland in large herds. They do their best to avoid humans, but due to more and more of their environments being taken over by humanity. They have come in contacts with humans more often and it had led to plenty of problems for both parties. Poachers have tried to get their hands on Landras' various body parts. Such as the hard shell on its back and its horns. But due to Landras' though skin and angry temper, combined with protective measures from governments. Has made it become increasingly more difficult. They can go for days without water and use the suns and the moons placement to navigate across the vast plains. Each herd is mostly made up of females and their young, with only a few males. There is one dominant male in every herd that keeps everyone else together and fights off intruders. Males do sometimes battle for dominance, which usually starts with the males using the six air-sacks to display dominance. These air-sacks also help them regulate air that they breathe in and out to help them regulate their body-temperature. Keeping their bodies as cold as possible, even during the harshest of heats. However, if displays does not settle a battle between males. Then the battle between males can become violent, with the males attacking each other with head-butts and kicks. After this battle, the loser either gives up his throne over the herd of females or leaves the battle all-together. Depending on what title the loser had before its defeat.
