Description Well, today is the day!
The seventh Anniversary of the original Super ARC Bros. Brawl has begun!

And as I promised all the way back when I showed the winners (on March 29:th 2021).
Here is the first of the runner-ups of the Empty Slot!

DINGODILE from Crash Bandicoot: Warped

Here is the moveset in detail:

STANDARD B - Flaming Dingo

Dingodile aims his flamethrower in an upwards angle and shoots out a fireball that travels in a curved forwards-arc towards the direction he is facing. The distance that the fireball will fly is the same as Link’s thrown bombs. When the fireball lands on the stage, it will act like a miniature version of Robin’s ArcFire (though it deals less damage and does not cover as much area). If the fireball lands directly on an opponent, then the opponent will take 4 % damage and be stunned for a short time. However, if the player repeatedly presses the B-button while Dingodile is performing this move. The Dingodile will fire multiple fireballs in a row, with the maximum amount being four. With each fireball acting just like if it was shot on its own. If Dingodile gets attacked while performing this move, then the attack will get cancelled and he will receive the intended damage and knockback of the move he was hit by.

If the player holds in the B-button though, then instead of firing fireballs. Dingodile will fire a long stream of fire towards the direction he is facing. This stream of fire has about 50 % more range than Bowser’s and Charizard’s Fire Breaths and does not lose range the longer it is used. While still dealing as much consistent damage to the opponents. If the player makes Dingodile crouch while he is performing this move, then he will keep firing while crouching (just like in the bottom-left picture). Dingodile will keep firing the stream, until the tank depletes, he gets attacked or when the player releases the B-button.

But just like Inkling, he has a “tank” next to his percentage-counter (that looks like the one the carries on his back). Every time Dingodile uses either variation of this move, the “energy” in the tank will deplete. When the tank is empty, Dingodile cannot use his Standard B again. Until he has enough “energy” to do so. In total he has 60 “points” of “energy” that he can use, when the tank is full. When he is shooting the fireballs takes away about 5 “points” from the tank for each shot fireball. While the flame stream will gradually take away “points” for as long as the stream is active. To refill the “energy”, Dingodile must either lose a stock or wait about thirty seconds. But like Hero’s MP, the process will go by faster by attacking with Dingodile’s non-special moves.

If Dingodile’s percentage-counter is over 100 % and the “tank” is full, then the “tank” starts shaking in an unsafe manner. When this happens and the player does a “Hadouken-motion” (Down --> Down-forwards --> Forwards) and presses the B-button. Then Dingodile will fire a much larger stream of fire (just like in the bottom-right picture) while laughing like a madman. This stream acts just like the Zero Laser, in terms of damage and knockback. But not only does it completely empty the “energy” in the “tank” (like Hero’s Magic Burst). It also deals about 20 % recoil damage to Dingodile. Then once this move is performed, Dingodile cannot use it again until he loses a stock.

SIDE B - Dingo Cleaner

Dingodile takes out his vacuum and uses it to blow any objects and opponents towards him (just like in the picture). As long as the items can be picked up by any of the characters. Visually, this move looks similarly to King K. Rool’s Standard B, after he has fired the cannonball. Except that this move has the same range as his flame-stream. If Dingodile gets attacked while he is performing this move, then he will stop using the vacuum and take the intended damage and knockback. If Dingodile sucks in an item, then it will instantly activate its effect on him, once it has entered the vacuum. Such as healing-items, healing him, “Boost-items” like the Bunny Hood will instantly be worn by him and parts of a stronger item, like the Daybreak, will instantly be added to the collection. Just like how Rosalina’s Down B works in Ultimate. Any weapons that Dingodile sucks in will be picked up by him once it is in the vacuum. With the first one sucked in taking priority. Any opponents that gets caught in the vacuum’s effect will be stunned as it gets brought closer to Dingodile. Then once the opponent is right next to him, Dingodile is free to attack that opponent further. However, if Dingodile gets attacked while bringing an opponent closer to him, then the trapped opponent will be freed. Unless he gets attacked, Dingodile will keep using the vacuum for as long as the player holds in the B-button. Though the player can make Dingodile stop using this move by letting go of the B-button. Then after this move has been used, whatever it was cancelled or not. Dingodile must wait seven seconds before he can use it again.

UP B - Air Vaccuum

Dingodile holds his vacuum downwards while he shoots air out of it. Thus making him hover in the air for a short while (just like in the picture). While Dingodile is hovering, the player will be able to move him around just like Peach and Daisy while they are floating. Though the speed he hovers is faster, it does not last as long as Peach’s and Daisy’s. If the player presses the B-button again, then he will make a short hop upward (that goes just as far as his regular jumps). Then after he has performed this additional jump, he will fall downwards in a helpless state. But if Dingodile either hover for three seconds or gets attacked, then he will also fall downwards in a helpless state. Then after he has landed on the ground (no matter how the hovering was cancelled), he must wait five seconds before he can use this move again.

DOWN B - Ice Age Crystals

Large coloured crystals falls from the sky and circling around Dingodile (just like in his boss fight in Warped, except it is two layers instead of three). These crystals will cover an area that is as wide as two Metagrosses standing on each side of Dingodile. While the crystals are circling around him, Dingodile is protected from any attacks from the opponents. But the crystals themselves will be damaged by the opponents. With each crystal having about 15 % stamina each. These crystals can also be destroyed by Dingodile himself, by using his flame stream. As him using the regular fireballs will arc over the crystals. However, Dingodile cannot move away from his current location for as long as the crystals are there. Unless they get destroyed, the crystals will circle around Dingodile for a total of twelve seconds. Once all the crystals has been destroyed or after the twelve seconds has passed. Dingodile has to wait twenty seconds before he can perform this move again. If the player tries to perform this move before the twenty seconds has passed, then a crystal will fall on his head. Deal 5 % recoil damage to him as he groans in frustration.

FINAL SMASH - Uka Uka Invincibility

Dingodile looks terrified towards the sky and shouts: “Crikey!” As he sees Uka Uka swooping towards him while laughing in an evil manner. Once Uka Uka has reached Dingodile, the mask will circle around him (just like in Crash Team Racing). Meanwhile, Uka Uka’s Theme from Crash Team Racing will play, replacing the music that was playing during the battle. While Uka Uka circles around Dingodile, he will be completely invincible (as if Dingodile got hit by a Starman from the Mario-games). But unlike the Starman, Uka Uka will also grant Dingodile a significant boost to his overall attack-power and grant him 50 % more “energy” for his “tank”.  After seven seconds has passed since Uka Uka started circle around Dingodile, Uka Uka will disappear and Dingodile will return back to normal. If he still had some of the additional “energy” left in his “tank”, then it will instantly be removed, while leaving the “tank” filled up with as much “energy” as it normally can be.

PROS:

# His forwards Smash-Attack is him firing a TNT-crate with his vacuum. Allowing it to both deal plenty of damage, knockback and having longer reach than other forwards Smash-Attacks.

# His Down Tilt is his Tail-swipe from Crash 4, which is both fast and can open up opponents to be combed further.

# His Special moves allows him to be a heavy-weight that can really shine fighting long-ranged battles.

CONS:

# His mobility is the same as Donkey Kong’s.

# The player must pay attention to how much he has left in his tank, in order to use his Standard B properly at all times.

# The player must be really careful about Dingodile’s position when using his Down B, so that it won’t backfire on him.

Thank you very much to everyone who voted and managed to give Dingodile a moveset on this anniversary.

Please stay tuned for the remaining two winners of the Empty Slot and have a wonderful weekend.
