My first official digital painting!! yayi was waving around my brushes for almost a week to get this right..
any way , this is for GEEnormous' One Piece art jam..

You did very well with the blending and the shading. The shading especially looks quite believable.The only thing that bothers me is the head...i don't know i think it justs looks slightly crooked or something. Either way, i'm still adding this to my favourites.

Can you believe I didnt notice you werent using a tablet for coloring until now? XD
Welcome to the new world.
I highly encourage you to use a harder brush instead of a softened one because one of your better points is your use of contrast/shadows.
Dont know if you catch what I'm trying to say...

lol. ive always used the polygonal tool up until now cause this "new world" scared me
my original goal was to paint it but still have the cellshade feel to it. painting looked fun to do and i figured its a good skill to learn.. and challenge me to use my tablet (that ive had for years)
And I think i see what your saying. looking at it, the shadows are not as strong as my cell shade ones.
im not sure about how to use a harder brush though.. do you just make the opacity of the brush and the hardness higher?

thanks man.,i redid the colors almost a dozen times until it looked okay, trial and error but mostly errors.., i just hope my second painting won't suck..
