Looks pretty sweet. Hey, any landing you can walk away from is a good landing!

The landscape detail is a bit dodgy but its a decent effort.

Well for some reason the writers had the notion that the Galaxy class couldn't hold up on the big screen as the writers did for the TOS when The Motion Picture came out. So they had to kill her.

Nice rendition of a tragic scene. 1701-D was the best Enterprise in my opinion.

This and the Refit are my fave's. The E while sleek has no grace!

I would have to agree. I've heard alot of folks say bad things about the JJ Abrams ship but I would put that one in my top 3 as well.

That was a sad end. You realize that NONE of the Enterprises ever got a quiet de-comissioning? They all died a tragic death.
And something else: Did you notice that in the movies that followed, they kept Deanna away from the helm??

Upgraded to 10 I see did you use one of the extra cameras doing this? Looks good if a little dark.

The scene (minus the Ent D) is a tutorial on making Photorealistic landscapes, and has all kind of presets. And I finally used Fprime! I tried it with radiosity, but that was just too bright. This was actually the happy medium lol.

you do know you don't have to keep radiosity at the default 100% ? I generally see what kind of keyed lighting elements are in the scene and set the global radiosity between 50 & 65%. Really the amount of radiosity I set depends on the overall lighting levels, the ambient light (if any) and the amount of reflective surfaces. Setting the range above is just a rough guide for a happy medium in many scenes like yours.

Often I don't even use radiosity. In some of my larger images i just use the 4 light method. Set three key, fill, and kick and if i want some shine on the model(s) a spec light for that. Usually I use radiosity for interiors and athmospheres. Sometimes on nebula's to scatter the light and still have some rt shadows as well. I do remember here recently spinning the dials a bit and setting the number of "bounces" a light took and some other settings. But usually I go default or minor adjustment if at all, like you said.
