I love these, but how do I get rid of the black?

You need Photoshop or other program to drop the background, and when you have a program there are several ways to do it depending upon your program. I use Photoshop and for a straight black background like this you can just cut out the background using threshold and then refine edge and smooth the edges.. but, you can use quick selection tool or anything that you feel comfortable with..
