Indeed, I shot the water as well. It is a very interesting way to work. My advice would be to shoot the water from behind like you would want to make a diamond sparkle, this is also good because it makes you use separation/edge lights. Not any strobe can do it either (you can have blur with strobes!), we used 5 Einstein 640's. A stronger flash stays on longer so I'm told multiple small flashes might work better. We shot outside but were surprised that it didn't take that much water, it could be done inside maybe. Big splashes are more interesting. Small amounts of water seem to fracture easily.
Also the camera set up shot at 9 frames a second with strobes as well. This was perfect for water splashing. In my picture two of the right splashes are from the same splash. If you can do this, it makes everything easier. also, this guy is awesome for splash photography [link]

This is beautiful Arch! I've always wanted to take a photo like this but theyre so hard to do. It turned out great! Do you have any others from the shoot?
