Here are the new dreads I made! There are about 50 single-ended dreads, each one pinch-braided to my hair.I used three colors: (08)Chestnut, (06)Dark brown, and (27)Strawberry Blonde. The blond was mixed with the dark brown for a highlighting effect.
I didn't want all the dreads to be the same length or width. So I have a mix of thick to micro-thin and short(6in) to xtra-long(24 in).
All the hair is 100% Kanekalon, back-combed to dread and steamed to set.
I'm very happy with them. A few people thought it was my real hair, so they are realistic looking. I added wood beads yesterday and will probably add more stuff later.

ok, why didn't you make them from your own hair? i would like to have them, but i didn't know that they can be made and then attached... i tough that they have to be made from real hair...

my hair wasn't long enough. lots of people get hair extensions, whats wrong with that?

buying the hair to make your own dread extensions can be inexpensive, depending on the type of hair you get. I use Kanekalon; Its a synthetic hair and its pretty cheap. My long dreads cost me less than $15 to make.

you know anything about extending dreadlocks? after you have some of your natural ones?
or it's easier to make entire dreads from synthetic hair? i know i have to have somewhat long hair for dreadlocks, but how much for all synthetic dreadlocks?

Hmmm... I think I saw a website someplace that showed how to extend dreadlocks. but i'm not sure where it was.
Do you already have dreadlocks?
Your hair needs to be about 3-4 inches long to attach synthetic dreadlocks.

thats not my real hair. i made them out of kanekalon and just braided them to my real hair.

how did you make em? used backcombing, twisting and that suff or some other methods? they look really awesome

ya. I backcombed and twisted to dread them and then steamed the hair to set it. I used Kanekalon hair which is pretty cheap and great for synthetic dreads.

A fake ones were very long! ! But real dreads are better
