Description The McCrimmons have the best storytellers. It all comes from my soon-to-be grandfather-in-law, who everyone calls Jamie the Bard. Don't doubt his strength; some of his most exciting stories come from his youth as piper and warrior of the Clan McLaren.
But everyone's favorites are the ones he makes up. They're just as exciting as battle but not as terrible and utterly fantastic.
To make re-telling easier, Jamie only has four main characters. They've rather become our friends. Jacob and the Healer are best friends traveling beyond our land and time in their skyship with one of their other friends, Victoria or Zoe.
He seems to like to tell the Victoria stories the best, though he has more about Zoe. His eyes shine brighter when he talks about Jacob and Victoria.
My favorite is the one when Zoe, Jacob, and the Healer are trapped in a land of fantasy and have to battle the Storyteller to escape.
My fiance prefers the tale where the same group accidentally is caught in a series of deadly war games and then the Healer has to fight to keep his friends.
They win, of course. The Healer and Jacob will never be separated. Victoria and Zoe will always join their adventures and be rescued or rescue, though we haven't heard a story explaining why the two girls never travel together.
The trio protects each other, defends each other, and they will never forget their friends.
