Description My first and probably last flyer. They are ridiculously easy to build and paint (the custom base was a pain to prepare thought) but alas I'm not really into flyers in 40K.
The lack of luminosity when I take my pics make the silver and golden parts all look the same color.

In a few days I shall have a Royal Court and Obyron done so they'll probably be my next pic.

EDIT-
Changed the pic for a brighter one.

this one reminds me of jaffar/guauld gliders from star gate even more than they do regularly

I admit that GW were far from subtle with that one. Goa'uld looking flyer from Stargate with, in the Night Scythe case, a Wraith like transportation system from Stargate Atlantis.

to be honest i have a necron army from the old codex, but the looks of the new hq models? the wraiths? and other stuff.... just want far off of that mechanical undead thing i liked so much. tho i think i'll use some of it for my spacelizardmen alien empire army x3
the mainpart of the army wil go by tau rules n a minor part with the new allies system by necron rules as kind of social warrior elite, wachu think of that idea?

Excellent idea.

I'm 100% for the idea of creating new races/armies, combining two sets of rules thanks to the new allies system.
Using a Codex full of weak models for the bulk of the army, the common people, and another with stronger more elite models as allies for the upper echelons of society shall work very well.

Sweet work. I notice no external pilot?! Not to your liking I take it. Not to mine either that much.

Thanks. You're right, I removed all of the pilots from my vehicles. From Barges to Arches to Scythes, I wanted them to feel like autonomous machines instead of piloted vehicles.

By the look of it, you've a nicely painted Scythe here.
I like the simple and metallic look, even if it may seem dull ... but hey, we're talking about Necrons here

Perhaps you can take a picture with better lighting?

Thank you.

Indeed I wanted for my Necrons to look dull, to reinforce the feeling that they're just an unified wave of machines walking toward the enemy. That's why I went for a steel color for the majority of the model, with only a few specific parts and weapons being golden/bronze.

As for the lightning I never manage to get it right. As soon as I increase it everything becomes to bright/white.

I take my pictures without a lightning and use either the light of day or I increase the exposure time until the picture is bright enough to get all the details. Some newer pictures are taken in a photo box with light coming in from left, right and above. If you're going to take more pictures, it's worth investing the time to build one

Alas I fear that increasing the exposure time is a concept that is alien to the crappy camera I'm currently using and sunlight has proven to be quite hard to tame.

The photo box may become a necessity. I have some large models like my Arches or my Monolith that I can't manage to take pics of simply because I have no background image big enough to put behind them :/

You could try to dim the flash with a semitransparent paper or something similar. So you could avoid the overlighted effect, but your picture is still brighter than without a flash.

I think this would be great with some internal lighting or something!

Alas I am to lazy to even consider working on internal lightnings for any of my models

I'm kinda the same. Finally got a Delorean last xmas and spent 2/3 weeks doing a good job on it (except I wish I'd held out for chrome spray piant instead of jus silver acrylic!!) I really wanted to add some LED headlights + cockpit. So much room inbetween the chassis and panels, twas crying out for a mod!
