Very interesting. I like how this turned out. I would suggest though that in some areas not to get to scribbley with your line art. I can understand trying to render the figure quickly and expressively, but in some parts it seems a little overdone. Perhaps if you use a smaller pen size like the S for the first gesture drawing, you can use the bigger pens to add to it gradually and create the depth you're looking for.

Thanks for your observation, though this is something I hear over and over but I'm not quite at the illustrator phase in my skills I'm still very amateur though I've been drawing since I was a kid, I'm still trying to get a feel for pen/pencil and see what works for me.

Maybe so, although getting advice regardless of your level is important because it helps give you direction on what to improve upon. While experimenting is great and fun to do, part of it is evaluating the data based on what works and what doesn't. My comments are only my opinion on what I think those aspects are. Whether you agree or disagree is up to you, but I still stand by my opinions.

I didn't mean to sound as if I was throwing away your opinion(re-reading my comment after reading yours makes it sound like I did), I do value it and I agree with yours and theirs.

I have a draft of a journal entry I've been meaning to write to explain why my gallery consists of mostly sketches.

But if you never get a chance to read it, I was inspired by a John Howe book where he mentions that unfinished illustrations sometimes look more interesting than finished ones and that when he draws he lets his pencil "wander". After reading the book those two things stuck to me and I've been sketching like this since.

Okay. I hope I didn't sound like I was mad or anything, cuz I'm honestly not.

I've not read the book, but my professors really echoed that idea. They were really quick to tell us to sop working on something before we overworked it, which is a habit a lot of students had in my classes (myself included). I haven't been through your gallery yet, but I would say that the work I faved wasn't really a sketch. I think it was an illustration cuz to me a sketch is like a practice before a game. I think this one Ultron is a full illustration rather than a sketch but that may just be me
