-Act Two-
Taegu realizes Karuta had a flashback while he was explaining how he used the handbook to figure out where the water is. The animal girl confirms. Even though this annoys Taegu to some degree, he is at least happy they found the crucial resource. They are interrupted by a shill cry of a creature that triggers another flashback. This time Karuta sees the master and apprentice duo encountering the same screech. Nevyruzu quickly brushes it off and tells Devinox not to worry. He explains they are unlikely to run into the Hydra's Phoenix since he plans to avoid an area called the Seeker's Nest. Not listening to the implication of danger, Devinox's curiosity is peaked. She's under the impression all animals will like her. But Karuta's flashback becomes choppy and unclear as Taegu's voice penetrates her vision.
