Dang. The style looks very much professional anime ^^ Her eyes are a little too far apart, I think is the problem, but I always make that mistake too when there's a lock of hair between them >.<
ONly other suggestion I can think of is, maybe a bit more shadow around the nose, eyes and mouth would help make it a little more realistic and less flat. It's kinda weird to the eyes to see shadows cast by the hair, but nothing around the features ^^
All in all, though, excellent work, especially her expression. Classic Rukia xD

You're quite welcome, I'm glad I was able to at least point you in the right direction It's the same thing for me... I mean, nobody likes having their mistakes pointed out, but I always remind myself that it's not an insult, it's just an indication of what I need to focus on practicing next
Yeah, when you have hair falling in a clump in the middle of the face like that, especially if it falls between/over the eyes, the key is to remember to make yourself pay extra attention to placement. I dunno about you, but I have a tendency to draw in long bangs that fall in front of the face before I add the features... unfortunately, I then have a habit of forgetting I can't just slap the eyes on there without paying attention to just how much should be obscured by the hair, and then I realize my mistake too late. Since you're doing digital, though, (something I have only basic knowledge of) you might be able to put the eyes and the hair on separate layers, and then see what the face looks like when you hide the hair. I suspect that'd immediately reveal any eye/hair spacing issues.
As far as the facial features go, I think what made it stand out so much is, you did such an excellent job with the shadows from the hair, and on the brow... it almost looks like you just forgot to add the rest of the shadows by accident ^^ But really, it's no big deal, overall this is a really outstanding piece
My pleasure! Have a Happy Halloween!

Ah, I wasn't sure whether it was hand done originally or not... well, when I do faces, I tend to start with the jawline... once I get the proper dimensions of the jaw, that's kind of my guideline for the proportions of the rest of the features... really, the thing I'd recommend you try, at least to start off, is just, when the hair overlaps any part of the eyes like this, just really pay attention to the spacing and size relative to the overall face and the features. Only ink your lineart when you're really sure that everything's in the right place. And you'll get better and better at judging that for yourself simply with practice. Also, if the position of the features seems off somehow, but you either can't pinpoint the problem, or can't seem to get it the way you want, I've found sometimes it's easier and quicker to just scrap it and start again.
You're welcome I'll be keeping an eye out for whatever you do next!! Many thanks ^-^
