All foals in general would follow the standards of adults (earth's are the biggest, pegasi smallest) but the three have their own little quirks:
- Scootaloo and Applebloom are about the same size
- AB is the bulkiest, being an earth, and Sweetie will be the thinnest when they all get older. Right now she's still got some baby fat.
- I was tempted to give Scoot smaller wings like Fluttershy, but decided not too. I don't agree with the theory that she can't fly, and I won't until canon confirms it. Imo, she just hasn't learned yet.
I was gonna add Spike, but got lazy. Maybe I'll just draw him separately, give him little quirks of his own. (Maybe my own headcanon for his growth?)

What a bunch of cuties. I really love your style, it's adorableee.
I've never been a fan of the 'Scootaloo cant fly' theory crap, maybe she's a late bloomer or something. I know Lauren Faust wanted it to be something of a lesson for children with disabilities that even if they were born or lost something, didnt make them any less important or useless. It's a great lesson for children but knowing the track record of this fandom, eh.

If that really was Lauren's idea, and had been executed by the show, yeah, I'd be fine with that. But I got the impression people seem to think she can't fly solely because we never see her fly. Except we also never see any other young pegasus fly soooo...? (Except Pound Cake, but he's a little baby; it's probably easier to fly when you're lighter.)

It was shown in the CMC flashback episode, but that's because they were in flight school. So I think it's safe to say they don't actually start any real flight until flight school? Or if they've had a personal trainer i.e parent, older sibling etc
It would make sense for a child of non-winged parents to be a little behind on flying.
I think Rainbow mentioned that pegasi foals had like, flight bursts when they're young, kind of like magical bursts in unicorn foals. Dunno, could be that. Makes me wonder what earth pony foals are like, probably incredible strength or some such. It would explain baby AJ cleaning a table full of food in a sec, gotta replenish all that energy lel

Pfft, right, I forgot about baby Rainbow and all of them xD But other than that episode, I don't remember seeing that many young pesgsi flying. So I think all of them are still learning.
Rainbow just says that when he gets older he'd totally be all over the place, she doesn't really mention other foals (I think?) but it's not hard to believe both unicorns and pegasus get random bursts of magic/flight when they're babies.

Not even Thunderlane's little brother flew in Hurricane Fluttershy, I think? So yeah, I guess they don't really start until they're a little older heh
Tbh, I really doubt Flight School is like, the place where they learn to fly, cause its pretty dumb and dangerous to take flightless children into the sky on a patch of clouds.

There's been some buzzing on the Internet that Word of God confirms Scootaloo as being flight disabled but as has been said, we must wait until canon confirms or denies it or even if her disability renders her completely without hope of unassisted flight.

I think Lauren might have said something a while back but I don't take everything she says as true canon, cause she's not the only one working on the show. (Same for even the other writers; I basically take everything that doesn't say "yes, this is 100% canon" with a grain of salt.)

True enough. But we ARE getting a Scootaloo episode this season and apparently the previews of it hinted at this issue of "Is Scootaloo flight-handicapped?" will be settled once and for all.

The only issue I have is the hooves They're far too... flat, to belong to an equine. However, if that's just your decision to explore an original style, then all the more power to you~.
