The ancient greek name for mercure is Hermes. Hydragyros means water and silver in greek. First learn and then talk.
PS.cool photo though

Hg is the modern chemical symbol for mercury. It comes from hydrargyrum, a Latinized form of the Greek word Ύδραργυρος (hydrargyros), which is a compound word meaning "water" and "silver" — since it is liquid, like water, and yet has a silvery metallic sheen. - From Wikipedia .

Thank-you for that, I appreciate it. Yeah, it's interesting to see the motion of water, especially in photography.

It is an image that came out of the post-processing rather well. I think you watched this one develop as I sent you images over the course of my session. I am a little surprised to find this one added to your favourites, though; appreciated as it is.

I definitely did, and I like your final decision on the placement of the ripple. I believe it was rotated differently at first. I see no reason for surprise, I quite like the abstract symmetry. I could say the same for your recent addition, as well.

I had it all ways around and all different colours before I decided upon this one. I only came to this ending when I stopped trying to have some sort of planned workflow and went on a creative "let's see what this does..." rampage through the filtering settings. Surprisingly, though, what I ended up with was only a few steps away from the original image. Hurrah for digital darkrooms, I guess.

It definitely doesn't look all that processed, despite its surreal qualities.

Some vignetting and a colour-wash was about the extent of it.

Thankyou for that. It is one that has came out rather smooth; if I had taken this with my old camera it would have been all grain. I like my new camera, heh.
