No, that's what happens when heΒ does get injured by Falton. He is made of darkness, it just this is what happens when Falton injures him. Remember he is his dark half. It's sort of symbolic.
Also I'm going by the belief that gods are invincible and cannot be harmed by mortals like Falton.
