Description This one was much harder than I thought it would be and to tell you the truth, as much as I like it I feel it was not my best work. With all that being said, it was fun to work on and it may get a re-edit but until then I must give credit where credit is due...

provided the background for this, I made only minor changes but to see it in its original view go here

provided the Killer Whale which is magnificient in my opinion, having seen them in real life in their real habitat. If you want to see their capture of it you can visit it here

provided the Whale Rider and really furnished the title to this piece as well. To see how she looked before I put her on the Killer Whale go here . I did my best to make her look a little more wet, but I kind of missed the mark on that. However, my skill grows with each piece so when I am sure I am able I will re-edit this with a better wet look.

I have to gush a little, you see the Whale Rider was made just for me to use in a manipulation and I cannot tell you how honored and humbled I feel for this gift. The couple of samples I was provided to choose from made me feel as if I were there for the shoot and that too was so very special, thanks for sharing it with me. I only wish there were more that I could do to show my deeply felt appreciation for the models and poses provided to not only me but all of dA as well.

is the Whale Rider model so I wanted to include a link to her page as well. I am so full of thanks I think I will bust!

has permission to use this image in their galleries.

UPDATE - has created a nice dedication based on this. If you want to see it, go to the link located here . Be forewarned, it not like this, though this picture is framed in it.

Here is a new artist who has done something like this one, which I think is rather stunning, maybe it is time for me to revisit this and use my honed skills in updating it.

Thank you, that was my first real strong piece I think with lots of different parts. The cool part the photographer and the model created that pose just for me because I asked for it.

I think there is a story here...

There was a lady that had a whale. Every day they went swimming together in the peep waters. One day the whale got fed up caring her on its back and abandoned her in an island. As the whale moved away, the lady said β€œ can you come here, there is one last thing I want from you before you go”. The whale came closer…. But never left [link]

This is awesome. Looks a lot better than what I had in my head while trying not to fall off the chair we used.

For how uncomfortable those poses are, I'm glad you found something you could use.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your sacrafice and of course how you complemented the picture with your own modelling. If you ever have a photo you would like me to manipulate, feel free to let me know and my time is all yours.

Oh neat!!!!! That really looks great! It was kinda funny trying to imagine where on the chair the dorsal fin might go...because I had this image of a tiny little girl squeezing onto it for dear life...but there's something too comical about that As for the wetness...you know..it is by a dock, she could have just mounted I would suggest maybe adding a few waves to break that calm too. Still, I am more than happy to help you with your work. (and as soon as I find a ruffled shirt that fits the boys, I'll get those other ones going too.)

Still, your imagination is wonderful. I wonder how many people looked at that whale and thought to put someone on it.

Thank you, so very much. As you know my appreciation is deep. Funny how I never thought of ripples or waves, now that is important. Hope your model did not mind me linking her page too since you did to the original pose you set up.

I will probably use the other one as well, later in another way though.

Oh, she wouldn't mind. She loves doing this sort of modeling. And she really is quite good at it...

I'm an ocean baby...waves are usually on my brain And use away!

Your stock request for the model workd out perfectly! As you progress in your photomanipulation skills I would love to see this redone. You should try some color and texture layers to bring everything together!

Thanks so much for using my killer whales
