Finally got this painted, it took forever (not literally) and proved to be a pain in the neck (literally) in many regards. Still, I'm overall pleased with the final result, this one's for you, Elerus.Related content

Ooooooh, it's interesting to see him as an adult and he looks really badass, I have to say! Soooo.. how many wings he actually has, I'm curious if it is random or does it have anything to do witjh the story maybe? o.o

They're wings made of light (as an adult), so the number depends on what Elerus wills. Thank you for the compliment, I'm glad you like the artwork.

Nah, not as a child. 
Ardwen and Elerus are part of a race called "Dar". Now, the really ancient Dar (a caste to which Elerus and Ardwen belong to) are some of the eldest beings in creation. In fact, it's not certain if they were "born" or coalesced from elements of creation - think of it sort of like a tupla, if memory serves me on the term. In any case, both Elerus and Ardwen are aspected toward facets of reality, in other words they share kinship with an element. For Elerus, this is light, for Ardwen it's "edges" (or divides, or what have you) manifested as his love and command of bladed weapons.
