Description
The Gateway Parking Garage is so pretty at night.
I get some weird looks when I tote my tripod out, but not as many as you'd imagine.

I understand the weird looks. I've had police cars stop and ask me if I'm ok when I'm parked at the side of the road at 2.00 in the morning. I explain that I'd doing a night photography project and they always look a bit bemused.

I usually get asked if I've broken down, but I'm usually in out of the way places.
I was out last night at a viewpoint that's also a local pick-up point and the police were there asking drivers why they were there.
They asked me, I explained that I was taking photo's and that was it. They lost just interest.

There is a lot of interesting architecture around here, mostly because it's such a large university. But a lot of it is also hideously ugly. Yuck!

I've been meaning to get over there to get some night pics, because it's so pretty at night, but I never feel very safe out late by myself. Not tonight. I counted approximately 750,000 police out tonight. (oh ok, not 750,000, but there had to be at least 100, no kidding).

I am deadly serious. There was a group of police about every 25 feet. No not 1 bazillion, but more than I could count.

If it's large all you'll need to do is turn on the national news. Sad but true. We are so full of visiting students from other schools; they get drunk and don't think a thing about burning down campus. It's not their campus, why should they care?

There's police cars parked down the middle lane of High Street right now. That's at least ten blocks worth of police cars.
We won, by the way. I'll let you know if anything serious happens. But honestly, even the 30,000 who stormed the field acted very calm. They never even made a push for the goal posts.
