Description I didn't create this or design it in any way I just took the easy way of typing his name into the ai and this came out.  Having said that, this depiction might well be Brahma I don't know because the gods could shapeshift but, I don't think it's him: he's supposed to have four faces and four arms with red skin.

There are a few myths about Brahma's birth, he was self created, no mother or father but the details change from one sect to another.  When he was the principal Deity and he was worshipped more than any other god in Hinduism he was said to have created himself from a golden embryo, that changed over time to his emerging from a golden egg, then later still when he began to fall out of favour and Vishnu became the principal deity the story changed to him emerging from a lotus flower that grew out of Vishnu's navel, still born without a mother or father but being firmly put in his place by Vishnu's worshippers as a lesser deity.

He was said to have created the world and then populated it with a single breath, one breath of a god being an age or Kalpa which could mean anything - Indian religion has roots going back further than most and they have words for units of time shorter than a picosecond and longer than trillions of years, they really did think about things on cosmic scales even thousands of years ago.  the best we can guess is that it means the time between the creation and recreation of a world to the time between the creation and recreation of a universe - yes the notion of the birth and death and possible rebirth of a universe was something they pondered on when we were barely out of our caves and starting to farm crops.  Anyhow, when he wasn't off creating worlds - yep they knew about other worlds existing out there and believed that they were populated - he was known to hand out boons to figures that impressed him, but he wasn't easy to impress and it could take hundreds or thousands of lifetimes to satisfy him.  He would gift other deities, demons, humans(eventually) alike which annoyed the other gods, especially Vishnu who was sworn to protect and preserve the balance of good and evil, because he kept having to come up with ways of killing these demons by finding a way around the blessing bestowed upon them by Brahma.  I looked around online for an example because all my books are in boxes in my mothers attic 50 miles away. and the best one I found was one where Brahma blessed a demon so that he couldn't be killed in the air or on land, neither could he be slain by any man or animal and no weapon could harm him.  Vishnu had to come down to Earth when the demon started causing havoc and the only way he could kill the thing was by assuming the form of a half lion half human avatar so that he was neither a man or an animal, put him over his knee so that he was neither on land nor in the air and claw him to death not using any weapons.  so he was a bit of a knob really;  anyway if you read this far thank you for your time, hmmm think I'll do Ganesha next.
