still heartbroken over the news. it'll probably take me a while to recover. ;__;even though I never got to personally meet the man, he always seemed to be one of those lovely people who would spread fun and happiness to everyone. The wonderful legacy he left behind will certainly continue to live on.
Thank you so much for everything, Iwata-san. You will be missed terribly.

Yes, some people release balloons as a tribute of sorts when someone passes on. I'm not sure where it comes from, but I just felt it was appropriate - what with the fact that Mr. Iwata programmed Balloon Fight for the NES. ;w;

Good to know that Nintendo had a selfless man who understood his fans. He really helped make my Childhood really loveable and it won't stop! Iwata may have left but that doesn't mean that Nintendo won't still be great for all of us, you know? Yeah, he left and we will miss him! But Nintendo will always find a way to push forward.
It's just sad that there won't be another like him.

yeah his imprint is still on a whole bunch of upcoming games - some of which we probably don't even know about yet! I think the company as a whole all share the same heart and love for gaming, so I highly doubt that they'll ever go backwards.
But yes, they still lost a very important person in the company. But I do believe that he would want everyone to stay happy and continue to share in the fun and joy that Nintendo brings. ;w;

And speaking of new games, I hear that Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam is gonna come out next year! It's almost like a gift that Iwata gave us before his passing!

oop!! Paper Jam looks sooo adorable ;o; Hopefully the gameplay will be a lot more diverse than the other RPGs tho. I love Dream Team, but I grow tired of the same formula being used over and over haha

I have Dream Team and I loved it! xD But out of all the Mario and Luigi RPGs, Superstar Saga was my favorite. At least the brothers themselves would do the Bros. moves and didn't have to rely on certain items. It's not that they aren't cool, it's just seeing both bros themselves using Bros. MovesΒ were way too cool. *o*

oh no I loved Dream Team, don't get me wrong! I just got really tired of how many bad guys there were in the game. Even Inside Story didn't have as many enemies! haha
The other one I've considered trying is Partners in Time, mainly because of the babies. ;o; they're sooo adorable

My little brother's played Partners in Time before and he sometimes gets confused Cuz there's more button sequences. Like more buttons to push. Baby Mario gets x or Baby Luigi gets y....? XD

Oh my god Audrey this is literally perfect. Mario has such a delicate expression. And can I just say that the way you did this with a watercolor-like paint work was absolutely perfect? Lighthearted, yet with a hint of sadness. The watercolor literally worked perfect for that. Wow I really can't. I think Mr. Iwata would be very proud. :')

I'm honestly surprised I was able to finish this in only a few hours. normally, this style of art is tricky for me. But I saw it so vividly in my mind that I guess it just flowed. which is nice considering that I've been struggling to draw for a while.
