While Peter had always done pretty supid things, the most recent seasons take this to the extreme, such as "New Kidney in Town" where Peter's reckless stupidity almost cost him his life and Brian's life. One of the things that tend to bug me is that Peter always gets scot free, and sometime somebody else ends paying for him. Well, not here! As seen from the dialogue, Peter mixed medicines with plutonium for...God knows why, and ended up the size of a doll, and Lois and Meg get some fun at his expenses.And yeah, new set of clothes for both Lois and Meg.

This reminds me of the Flinstones episode, "Itty Bitty Fred" in which Fred Flintstone, in trying to invent a new soft drink, instead drinks a mixture of chemicals that shrink him to doll size.
