I did this for Madoka Day on October 3rd and just got around to upload it here because I keep forgetting this account exists.

Character by colour:

Yellow: Fausto von Goethe (43). Fausto von Goethe is a Magical Guardian and a member of Team Elpis. He is a high school teacher and historical fiction author who acts as a Guardian scout. Fausto was once a bright-eyed, reliable, passionate writer and professor, highly regarded and loved by his colleagues both personally and professionally. After the death of his family, Fausto changed into a bitter, pessimistic alcoholic with a bleak outlook on life and humanity.

His gemstone is on his shoulder, as his wish was to carry the burdens of the man he loved (- "to shoulder a burden" -) and his weapon of choice is, apparently, a drinking flask. It is heavily implied he’s lying about this, as he does about mostly everything else regarding himself and his past, and the ability of making concoctions is just one of his Guardian powers. This flask can also produce Holy Water and any type of blood.

Violet: Mikoto Tokuyama (26). Mikoto Tokuyama is a Magical Guardian and the leader of Team Elpis. He is the CEO of VirTech, a multibillion-dollar multinational corporation dedicated to medical research and bio-engineering. Mikoto is exceptionally intelligent, innovative and resourceful. His ability to make split-second choices often proves decisive in both business and battle. He is extremely charming and charismatic, as well, and he can effortlessly influence people.
He has a tendency to make irrational and rash decisions based on his emotions, as evidenced by his “selfish wish for revenge” (which causes his gemstone to be placed where his eye should be - "an eye for an eye" -). His weapon is a large-size longsword. He can produce, and turn into, mist that allows him and his team to stay camouflaged and protected. The mist comes directly from his gem.

Green: Haniel "Hani" Gaudin (16). Haniel Gaudin is a Magical Guardian and the youngest member of Team Elpis. He is a high school student and the youngest sibling of the prestigious, multi-business Gaudin family. Haniel is very intelligent and resourceful, an incredibly skilled artist, able to recreate any style and paint on the fly, as well as being able to move people with his own.

His gem is placed on his hand, because of his wish to be of help (- "to lend a helping hand" -) and his weapon takes the shape of a paintbrush with magic properties, such as the ability to teleport people to the place drawn or create mirror dimensions, enemies, dummy targets, etc. Much like Hani's Guardian outfit's scarf, and most of his creations, it seems to have a mind of its own.

Pink (stb Blue): Homura Satou (24). Homura Satou is a Magical Guardian and a member of Team Elpis. She’s a third year Medical Student majoring in Neurosurgery. Homura is an aloof, quiet and mild-mannered woman. She is often referred to as a genius who can do most everything, and she aims to be perfect in mastering her skills in anything she does. Deep down, her perfectionism is a self-defense mechanism, as she is deathly afraid of being cast away or abandoned.

Although she claims she doesn’t remember what her wish was, judging by her gem placement and how she states she was returned to foster care more than a couple times, she probably wished for love/to be loved (- "to be in someone's heart" -). Her weapon, a comically sized needle, reflects her love for tailoring and medicine alike. She is able to heal any wound by wrapping some thread around it, but we know this ability is limited to injuries sustained by herself or others while in Guardian form. She also uses this needle as a melee weapon to attack wraiths and as support or anchor during fights.

Orange: Raiden Igarashi (29). Raiden Igarashi is a Magical Guardian and a member of Team Elpis. In both forms, he serves as Mikoto’s bodyguard and right-hand man. He also plays drums and back vocals in a heavy metal group in his spare time. Often misunderstood because of his appearance and rash behavior, Raiden has a noble, caring soul. He puts the safety of his subordinates, teammates and those he’s sworn to protect above anything else. Moreover, he deeply cherishes his parents, his friends and his partners, and he’s fiercely protective of them. He's mostly seen smiling, joking and generally showing a softer side around those he feels comfortable with.

His gem is placed on his heart, matching Homura's, but keeping it's own meaning, as his wish was to be able to protect those he loves (- "the people in his heart" -) As a Magical Guardian, he adapts his role depending on the situation, but it’s heavily implied that he enjoys being a spellcaster, since it’s something he’s not able to do in his civilian form. His powers are likely inspired by the dark side of the Force. Raiden has been shown to be a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise. He can also manifest a set of spiked combat knuckles that can break through any surface.
