Thus, Ariane was born, the betazoid science officer who smiles too much and has an interest in Vulcans, who often find her a little creepy, since she can tell if they're feeling any emotions, and really likes their ears. She likes wearing the female uniform because it shows off her legs and doesn't understand why none of the other women don't like it.
