I like the metaphorical chain connecting Terra and Celes. I like the idea behind the picture, that they were bound to the Empire for their whole lives, and that does take a lot of courage to carve out their destinies seprate from the EMpire. That's true, Celes wasn't in Dissidia. D: I think Celes gets slightly more fan love despite Terra's presence in Dissidia, oddly enough. Yay pre-Playstation era! ^^ Though I can't knock FF9 and FF7, lol.
Slow isn't bad. The detail ibn this lineart is awesome. ^^ It must have taken a long time to draw all the lines that define Terra and Celes' hair, especially Terra's because it's so curly. Also, drawing Celes upside-down must have taken a lot of time too. ^^ I like how a strand of Celes's hair falls behind one side of her nose, that's interesting. ^^ I also like the shading in the eyes--it's amazing that they can say so much without color. Beautiful work! ^^

I'm glad someone noticed the symbolism! thank you for that! I actually made the chain into an infinity sign shape as well to signify that no matter what happens they are eternally bound to eachother, no matter the distance that seperates them. Cuz in my headcanon I imagine they must've been raised together so they were probably friends at some point. I could be wrong though, who knows? Yeah you may be right about Celes getting more fan love, it's just lately i've been seeing so many Terra pics in my inbox! lol. I love the playstation era FF's too, I just feel they already get uber amounts of love compared to the older ones, so I focus on them more. 7 and 9 were indeed great, I however loved 8 too, though it seems a lot of people didn't. Guess I just love to be contrary!
Actually this particular pic I pumped out at an amazing rate, for me anyway. In total I probably spent about 4-5 hours max. I simply get inspired by VI, it's my fave! Terra's hair was a bit of a challenge, but I had no problem with Celes upside down-ness considering I do all my art on my drawing pad then transfer it to the computer and redo the lines on there. So all I had to do was flip the pad over to do Celes. I tried to make Celes hair a lil more 3D looking since there is really no depth to her hair like Terra's in this pic, hence the hair behind the nose. Ah the eyes! I really wanted to convey their emotions through them so I'm glad you like them. I wanted to portray how I think they feel on the inside behind their usual masks they don. Thanks so much for all your kind words! It always makes my day to hear what you think. =^_^=

: D Although I missed the infinity sign that the chain made. That makes the symbolism even deeper. ^^ I like the specifically female bond that you emphasize here, for some reason it didn't become apparent to me until you explained your drawing. ^^ Like, I can imagine the family bond between Edgar and Sabin, and Cyan and his family, but the bond between two women in similar circumstances completely flew over my head. OO D: They probably were friends at some point, although it seems Terra is lower in rank. Though that doesn't preclude their possible friendship, and Celes seems to have enough affinity to people who aren't after something (i.e. Edgar lol).
Ooh, yeah, I guess there are more Terra pics lately. ^^ That's cool that you like 7, 8 and 9, good for you! ^^ Yay rebel : DDD
Oh wow, 4-5 hours and that much detail, that's awesome. ^^ ^^ It's hard for me to spend a lot of time on a lineart--I spend a few minutes scrawling out the lines and then spend 2-4 hours coloring. But it takes, it seems like it would take a lot more effort to do an incredibly detailed lineart since you don't have the help of color.
Ooh yay for just flipping the pad. ^^ That works. : D Ooh got it, so it's basically hand-drawn, just the finished lines are on the computer. Awesome ^^ ^^ I used to do that regularly, but now I find it easier to draw on the computer, since scanning for me is a pain. D:
Yay for 3D hair. Hair is so hard to do, I commend your lively hair skills. : D Yeah, their eyes were very introspective, and conveyed a lot of feeling. I don't even really know what feeling, just that they feel, and for hardened Magitek knights like them that's definitely something. : D You're very welcome! ^^ Look forward to seeing other linearts whenever you post them. ^^
