So they got Batman tied up, and set up the timer on the bomb.. Glorious moments, lovely times.. what else to do but to take a selfie? "CLICK!", and there you go.. two evils, captured in one shot. I hope the Batman will survive this one.. my favourite couple, Mr.J and Harley!black markers on white HVS A4 paper.

Maybe I will! I think perhaps, the reason why I love drawing Harley n Joker is because of their characters.
I just love them, especially Joker, whom I think represents real madness.

Well yeah I mean it's hard not to love them especially after Batman TAS. They're the perfect crime couple and you can't beat them for enthusiasm or madness.
Yeah it's hard to beat Joker in the madness department. 
I love when they show a character actual descend into total madness. LikeΒ KurtΒ GerhardtΒ becoming the 3rd Foolkiller in the 1990 Foolkiller limited series or Phil Urich becoming a heroic version of the Green Goblin and slowly succumbing to insanity in The Loners limited series and then finally becoming a wholly insane and evil version of Hobgoblin in The Amazing Spider-Man on-going seriesΒ

Joker is so insane, even playing as him in a movie cost the actor's life.

Well lets be fair Heath Ledger was doing some hardcore drugs as well at the time. I don't think being a character, even as dark as Joker can kill someone. Jack Nicholson is still around and Cesar Romero lived to be a pretty ripe old age and both of them were the Joker.Β
Mad Love is brilliant. I love the book and the cartoon episode.
The Killing Joke was brilliant as well. Just seeing how the Joker became that way was amazing.
I love the Foolkiller limited series because it does what The Killing Joke did origin wise for the Joker for the Foolkiller but it stretches over the course of 10 issues. So you see a normal, average guy's life spiral away from him and he slowly descends into madness because of it and becomes a serial killer/vigilante. You can probably find it at any online comic shop for real cheap.

I read that he started using hardcore drugs because he's having trouble sleeping
after playing Joker. Nicholson said, that he warned Heath not to go too far on playing
the character (that's what he said when he was interviewed about the death of Heath).
I think Nicholson held back, not playing the Joker that deep simply because his insanity has no bottom end.
Unlike Lecter and many other roles, they have limited depth of insanity, Joker has none.
And Romero, well, he played Joker for a TV series for children, so the character was adjusted/toned down.

Well he was having marriage problems as well plus he was using drugs before the role of the Joker from what I read. So I don't think his role as the Joker was totally to blame but I do agree it probably did play a part in his nightmares considering he portrayed the Joker as a really dark predator.
Nicholson did Joker more like the 1970s/80s Joker who was a sinister unpredictable madman. Romero was simply playing the version of the Joker from the 50s and 60s which was a big goofball who was almost harmless like the rest of the comic characters at the time. Almost every character from the era of the TV show was a big goofball and the comics reflected that until the 70s brought everyone back around to being actual threats for the most part.
Β Let me know what you think of the 1990s Foolkiller limited series once you've read it.
Also do yourself a favor and avoid the Marvel MAX imprint Foolkiller title from the 2000's. It was totally lame and they wrecked the concept of the character.

True, recent divorce made him worse.. and plus,
he isolated himself in a room for more than a month,
to find the character.. how he talks, walks, behave.. so
he's actually turning into him.
True, it was after they applied the Comics Code Authority, they have to tame
the character and make him a goofball in all media.. such a shame.

There are very few villains that can make that claim. The only others that spring to mind are Red Skull and Carnage. They literally do not give a shit about any sort of moral code.

Oh he definitely was. Artist Erik Larson even said he based Cletus Cassidy's look on the Joker when he drew him as Eddie Brock's cell mate in prison.
