Description
I had never heard of the Temple of Heaven before going to Beijing, but it was one of the niftier places I visited. The beautiful Taoist architecture is in a scenic park that lets you step away from the crowds, and there's an echo wall nearby that uses some crazy engineering to make the slightest whisper audible yards behind you. Happened to stop by here on the Fourth of July, and the only people I saw celebrating the holiday were a large, enthusiastic group of Puerto Rican tourists.

This particular structure is the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.
