I've recently been inspired by Mass Effect 3, and the awesome powers of the Reapers that make all other Sci-Fi baddies wiz themselves. So kind of see this a promotional image!This is actually a photograph of my hometown. I plan to make a series of these images; including one destroying Chicago

You're right, I'm from germany. And thanks a lot for the offer - I'll go look out for a picture, but it may take some time, 1. because I don't have a lot of scenery pictures, and 2. because I don't have a camera worth noticing, so I'm unable to take some good ones at the moment...

So am I about the quality of my Galaxy S2 camera, yet it is still no way near to even consider comparing it to a "good-old" digital SLR camera... And that's not just because of the objective and the lenses

You live there? Photos? I'm trying to focus on not-so cliche invasion sites like the typical New York or Los Angeles, but anything would help!

yeah been living in San diego my whole life. I could get you some shots of old town, the beaches we have, the bay or downtown...
acctually, I'll get you a shot of Escondido. that's what i really want to see invaded by reapers.

The fact its happening in a casual-looking suburban area makes it look more realistic and terrifying to most of us who don't live in New York City or some other huge city that's used way too much as the focus of disasters and alien invasions

Yeah, that's why I'm starting to make these. Alien invasions attack cliche cities, and that's where all the imaging comes from. I'm also going to do a farm, grand canyon, and some other features. Inevitably though, I'm definitely gonna have one destroying the Sear Tower in Chicago (my hometown)

I like the idea, although it does mention that the Reapers specifically targeted high population centers of Earth, which allowed the resistance to survive in remote locations. Don't know if it would be worse to look up at one of these or see a brute staring me down

Yes I know. But making reapers attacking cities is too cliche, even though I'm still going to do it. But my town here has 65,000+ population. So its pretty big

That's the point haha. I want to place reapers in places where you normally WOULDN'T find them. I want to make one in a cornfield
