Earth-105709 in the Marvel Multiverse first appeared in "What if...?" vol 2 #9, a story positing what would happen if the Original and New X-Men died in their battle against Krakoa. In this story, Xavier refuses to gather another X-Men team when Count Nefaria threatens the world with nuclear missiles. Beast decides to take matters into his own hands and finds Thunderbird II (Warpath), Banshee II (Siryn), Namorita, and Wolfsbane to form a group with himself as leader.

This alternate Earth appeared briefly as one of universes that Living Laser escaped to in Quasar v1 #6 and #30.

I decided to change up the roster for a few reasons. I can see Namorita being ordered by Namor to return to Atlantis. Beast and Xavier would recruit Sunfire's sister, Leyu Yoshida, as Sunfire II and Moira would recruit Multiple Man onto the team. Xavier and Moira would treat Wolfsbane as an X-Man-in-training until she becomes an adult, though she would find ways to get involved with the X-Men's missions . And with the deaths of X-Men on Krakoa, I have a feeling Kitty Pryde's parents would rather enroll her into the Massachusetts Academy instead of Xavier's School. Also, Xavier would recall Sage sooner than on Earth-616.

I was really interested in Earth-105709 after reading the "What if..." story and really wish it would be revisited.
