How did you figure out the colors for the lighting and shading?

Hey there.  That was a while ago, so I had to think a bit about the colors.  If I recall correctly, I used the color picker and that didn't work out at all well.  The original colors are all grainy and made of high contrast pixels  because - I imagine - Timm probably did it with copic markers and then it was scanned in and the colors were resampled.  It looks fine, but when you get down to each pixel, it's not really made up of the color you think you are seeing.  So it looks like what I did was just pick some colors and shades that I liked instead.  Actually, they kind of look like the default colors in the standard palette in Clip Studio - so that's probably where I got them.  I think.

Fun study, I always liked the comic book characters more in the animated style. Just can't get into the typical realistic comic art.

Thanks.  Timm has the ability to take everything I like about classic cartooning and reduce it into a handful of beautiful lady lines.
