Sunny and Flurry Heart were separated from their friends before escaping through the tunnel when it collapsed. They arrived at the lake but Flurry felt weak during the barrier of the Crystal Empire and collapsed near the lake. Before they could move on, they heard whispers coming from the forest, and the Dragoni had been waiting for them on the other side. Sunny must protect her and use magic to fend off, but they still keep on coming and she can’t keep up until one of their dark magic hurts her and can’t do anything, as they are getting close to them. Just as everything was lost, she saw something behind them. A pony near on the other side began to cast a powerful spell at them, destroying them into armors as back into souls, scaring them away from Flurry and her. As everything went silent, Sunny looked at the pony who saved them as it went dark but almost got a glimpse to see who it was as she fainted unconscious next to Flurry.
