It's the 20th Anniversary of Sonic Adventure 2 this year, which is fortunate as I've been wanting to do something like this for some time.

While I never owned a Dreamcast and the version of the game I played was a "Player's Choice" version of the GameCube port "Battle" I still wanted ot pay homage to the original release, also I wasn't in the right mood to try and draw 6 characters to homage the newer cover. The game is still my favourite of the 3D Sonic games despite the graphics not aging very well and the sound editing during cutscenes is pretty aweful, but the gameplay for all the characters, the music (especially Live and Learn) and the introduction of Shadow and Rouge will always have this game in my top 5 games list. I would like this game to have a remake where the graphics were updated with the modern models and have the sound editing be tweeked so the music and voice acting doesn't bleed into eachother too much, but keep the gameplay as close to identical with the original as possible.

I haven't done SA style shading in a while but I'm pleased how it and the posing of Umbra and Talon turned out. I am surprised how well the logo came out and might use it more often in the future. I will admit I got a bit lazy with the background but I was never good with that aspect and I was a bit burned out near the end anyway.

So to all Sonic Adventure 2 fans out there, HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY!
