This little Baby Koi is proof I've got kanzashi OCD.I've made this one on Chayatsuji Kimono 's owner, Youandi's request. I started it at 9 in the morning and it's 10 in the evening with just a few breaks to grab some food.
I've made it with mostly 1.5cm pieces of silk, but as you can see some are bigger (on the fins and of course the water). It needs some work still. The base wasn't felt as I usually do, it wasn't find enough to cut the fish shape so I used thick card stock I'm going to seal with a couple of layers of gloss varnish.
I still think it came out pretty nice
Tried the waves for the first time and certainly, not the last!
