They're both kind of really dumb.
The (c) thing is a copyright, correct? Now, do you have to get something for that copyright? Or because it's your work, rule is that it's automatically copyrighted to you?
And the text...how did you get that there in Photoshop?

Yes. Well, Deviantart is supposed to automatcially grant you a copyright for anything that you post. And yes, since it's the person's work, it's copyrighted to them, just as an OC is.
