Personality:

Emotionally Unstable - Mai due to being so protected when she was a filly, is very unstable and isn't the greatest at handling situations. She will easily cry and flee. She also feels very nauseous when it comes to helping ill horses.

Giddy - Mai has a lot of energy which means she will easily run circles around you to lose that energy. This does mean she is more of a "Act first, ask questions later" character. She will not want to waste time standing around, grazing, anything like that.

Shy - At first, it's very hard to get her out of her shell to become the giddy character she can be. Mai will easily keep away and isolate herself but this will make her feel miserable. But she's weird.

Self-Doubting - Mai can easily hate herself. She can have drastic mood swings which will shift from her being happy to suddenly thinking everyone hates her and she is a failure. This came about from her mother being a very talented Aura and always pushing Mai to do well. Always letting her mother down however, the mare would always discipline her by giving her an earful of why she should focus and harness her ability to heal and help the ill.

Devoted - She will definitely always try her best, even if it means she'll cry and whine about it and want to run away from it. But Mai will always give it her best shot even if the results aren't too pleasing.

Sweet - She is mostly friendly all the time. Sometimes she'll give an energetic hello where she doesn't feel shy or nervous or she can sink back into herself and mumble. Mai cannot help but be nice and caring due to her Solstice nature.

Easily-Manipulated - What makes it so easy for her to follow along with something? She is horribly weak minded. Mai can easily be lead along the wrong path which means she can easily believe someone if they tell her something that may or may not be a lie.

History: Mai's mother was alone when she gave birth, she was a natural talented aura and that ability happened to pass onto her filly. Buuuuut Mai wasn't too good at it. In fact, she found it very hard. But anyway, being a very healthy filly when she was born with the only mutation of her dappling turning into Jaguar spots and her hooves so soft when she was a foal, that her toes split like goats and hardened that way, but its easier for her to travel the terrain with them however. So anyway, healthy filly meant that her mother was over protective and restrictive on what she could and couldn't do. So her emotions were protected and she didn't experience much. So Mai is quite naive.

When her mother died, she was about 14 and that left her alone in the clan without relatives. Her father's side were dead as were her mother's. She relied on the other Aura's for company. Her mother passed down her neckpiece which had been passed down through each generation. Mother of pearl shells, wilted carnations and hanging shells made up this leather neck piece. Mai never takes it off nor will she let another touch it for it being so delicate.

Mai is also very bad at healing, even being an aura. She cannot seem to focus her natural ability and this is very embarrassing for her.

Young: Growing up, Mai was constantly pushed to practice her ability as an aura. Her mother wasn't fully aware of the damage it could have caused on the young filly, were she able to absorb injuries and pain well. She grew up with few friends, such as Sariel and a few others. There was a certain little colt that visited one day from the Warhead clan. Whilst his mother talked with Mai's and the other Auras, the pair played and from then on, Mai would visit him as often as she could. She even started to develop the little crush...That she never quite got over.

Her mother became clingy and obsessive with the idea that Mai could possibly help heal every horse. That oh no, she's fine. She won't ever turn infected. She'll get it soon, she just needs to keep trying which resulted in most of her childhood resulting in failure and crushing depression that she could never help anyone. That she couldn't impressive her mother and win her affection.

As soon as she died, Mai felt alone. Sariel was one of the mares Mai relied on as a family figure, a sister. Mai loves Sariel to bits and appreciates the mare in every way possible.

Adult: Still not quite there, but prefers to be considered one! Mai is full of confusion and despair. Everyone never seems to be happy. She wishes to help everyone but her crippling fear of being laughed at and being a failure of an aura prevents her from being truly happy...

She met Moth... Someone who amazes her, he doesn't quite fit in himself...Being an infected...But not quite her. And she is just like that with being an Aura. Mai has been rescued by this stallion, from the fangs of Salin & Jynx. Something she is so thankful for she doesn't think she could ever repay him with her friendship and kindness alone. If she could give him the world, make him better, she would.
