My investigative skills are lacking.
So far all I have for you is, it isn't aloe vera,
and it may be a type of Heliconia flower(I am getting increasingly less sure about this)?
It's after one in the morning, so I am going to give up my hunt for its name.
I believe it was native to the Arenal region of Costa Rica.
But I have a disclaimer for this as well, it was a bush in front of the Arenal Vista Lodge, so it may have been imported to the area.

I thought those were the flowers of aloe vera: www.tudosobreplantas.com.br/im… but looking in detail, they look like aloe striata flowers: cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server490…
