Description
This is 's request of a Decepticon Aerial Transport for the fanfiction that he's currently working on. I might do a body later (I have a rough idea in mind) but I figured a headshot would do for now...The name sounds slightly weird, but it's supposed to be based off the word "armament."
Armator's alt-mode is based of an AN-22 "Antey," which is a heavy transport plane. That's why he's got that number 22 on his helmet, in case you're wondering.
Don't have much background on him yet...maybe, ElMutanto, Armator tried to plot against Megatron at some point and Skyshard discovered the scheme, where she then blackmailed him to work for her under the Starseekers in order for the information to remain secret. As a consequence, Armator works for Skyshard, but very grudgingly and maybe he doesn't follow every order she commands. Or if he does the tasks she wants, he does very half-way jobs, to show that he's still a bit of a rebellious spirit.
I dunno, hopefully he'll do for now.

I think that I'll take an attempt at his body ^_^ I have an idea for a great, heavy armored mech with wings on his back and propelers on his shoulder pads ^_^ He'll have a great chest area with missles and such XD

oh no, go for it ^^ I actually hadn't planned out his body all that much...it's a little harder for me to come up with the body designs...helmets aren't so hard, though. Heck, I'm still having trouble with Midnight Sun's design...
I'd like to see what you come up with! What you have in mind sounds pretty awesome.

I've been meaning to fav this. I really like his scowl and more than that...the camo on his face! It's great and it's the perfect touch (and something I never would've thought of for a TF).

XD I've always loved that camo look, and although I've seen it used on TFs before, I've never seen it used on their faces. So I decided to try that, and I must admit I like it there a lot.
This was also my attempt at using pure white to create a shiny look, and I like the way that came out as well.

Yeah it's fun to make areas have color and then add a bit of white to make it look reflective or bright. It's all relative! If it's all white, it's not bright. I remember having that revelation one day and it was so counterintuitive...

But you knoiw what? I'd add to the story, that hje's related somehow to Longstrike because of the similiarity between their helmets XD And it would be funny... Longstrike is the shortest Transformer and Armator would be the tallest... He could be Longy's elder brother XD And they both have camouflage on their bodies XD
But for the Alt modes. YOu know, they would change during the war. Since Skyshard landed in Germany, she would take the form of typical Shmidt plane and later on switch to Shmidt Comet type ( the flying coffin, the only jet that germans possesed in the last years of war) and when F-15 will be produced, she'll change again just to end up as F-22 Raptor by the year 2000.
Longstrike landed in USA so he took the form of Military Harley Davidson, but since they didn't change that much he remained in that form to the end of the story.
Dualblast landed in United Soviet Russian Republic so he basicly took the form of Stalin type tank and later on, in 1995 he took the form of the prototype two turret type tank, Ural (Originally from the game Earth 2150: Lost Souls Xd)
The worst was for Sidewinder. Sidy had to take the form of the same plane as Shardie ( they both landed in germany) and to have a filling for his second vechicule mode he chose the German Tiger type tank being somewhat like a inspiration for later blitzwing XD. When the war has ended, He changed his vechicules to that of the americans and he joined the Vietnam war. There he took the Helicopter mode as his alt. In 1979 Skyshard kidnaped Dr. Armsteel, rescued Longstrike and took the blueprionts of Cobra's prototype vechicules. That's how Sidy got his "Switchblade" alterantive mode being both helicopter and a jet.
As for Armator... I think that to as of late, around the end of the Vietnam war, he would take his alternative form. And to that time he would remain in orbit and go down on earth only to do some transporting. He could be used as a warrior after the awakening on the Arc ( WIll it be still coused by SProcket and Axle Arguing? XDDDD That was a funny idea XD ).

I'm glad you like his design ^^ I don't know if I'll get around to drawing his entire body...I mean, I have ideas, but I don't know if I have the time to draw it at the moment. I like the relationship between him and Longstrike though. Although camo could be used for pretty much anything WWII-ish, it does seem pretty cool to make them "related" somehow.
You can do what you want for the bio. I just handed you an idea, but feel free to mess with it as you see fit. You definintely have your timeline for your story down...I'm just kind of flying along making things up as I go XD
Actually, Sprocket and Axle didn't even know each other when the original Ark landed. THey showed up on Earth years later, maybe during the time of the second and third season of the original cartoon. That's how it's playing out in my head anyways. They're supposed to be like, a younger generation, but they follow right behind Optimus' team as backup.

for this story you can do what you want. Twist the story as you see fit. I already have their bios down (on paper, but not typed) but for this story, I'll give you liberties, as it's your interpretation. Since Sprocket's a reconaissance officer, it'll work for how you see her to be part of a retrieval mission. Axle can tag along for the ride, as he is a scientist after all XD

I'm working on their stories now, so hopefully I can start coming up with some decent deviations with them soon... I'm going to find a way to integrate their bios and the main story all together, so that I can actually have a full plot going on...
For your version, tho, if you want to have Brace killed off that way, it could work. Your story could be like a separate version if u like.

I think said that his characters were supposed to have shown up on earth during WWII, so I think Armator's design worked out well in that concept. So yes, you are very right about the camo paint
