As much as I like placing illustrations in front of the fanfic text, I wish they would show up bigger so that the finer details could be seen...This is just the header illustration for the 4th part of Sprocket's Bio, so that you can actually see it up close in all it's freakin glory XD
An explanation of Sprocket's Third Optic (that glowing thing in the center of her helmet): It acts like, literally, a third eye and is equipped with heightened sensors that can detect energy signals within a certain radius. Sometimes the readings that Sprocket gets back from the Third Optic aren't very clear, so there are times when she has to determine what they mean herself. When scanning an area with the Third Optic, a sort of holographic screen will appear in her neuroprocessor, with indications of any energy signatures in that space. If it is ever damaged, its accuracy can be greatly affected (usually not for the better), and so Sprocket has learned to not fully rely on it when she's in a tight spot.

you'll find out why in part 4...it's not that she's horrified that it's glowing...it's where they are when it does start glowing XD

When I originally came up with Sprocket's design, I just randomly slapped that there without much thought XD but now, yes, it actually serves some purpose!
