Mia Fey was a character in the 3DS Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney game series. Only appeared in the first game of the lot and "kind of" appeared in the others. But is much loved by fans.

The Character was a "spirit medium" as well as a lawyer. lol And that was the thing that kind of focused her power I guess. Kind of a japanese trope about spirits and the occult and what not.

Yeah it can be seen in a number of animes/mangas. Another would be "Ikkitousen: Strength of a Thousand" where the female lead has them for earrings.
