Absolutely gorgeous and classy ^^
Even the common apartments and roads are like as if you're Kaiser xD

Even more classy than Taipei ^^

Hmm are there any corners of Wien that are unfortunately polluted by giant capitalist blue blocks?

I had gone to Vienna (Wien) in 2013, and my god, it's gorgeous! It has the charm of old, imperial Europe with a modernist feel. The people are also incredibly pleasant, and speak good English. It inspired my love for Austria, and I have started to learn German (albeit poorly - I do start an official class in the autumn). I truly do love it. It's quite a shame; Warsaw (Warszawa) used to be so beautiful, before the Uprising (coughcough*whosefaultwasthat*coughcough). Oh well. Anyway, I would love to return. My favorite spot was Schönbrunn, but the mountains of Kahlenburg (where, you know, Poland saved Europe's asses) gave spectacular views of the city. Pozdrowienia od Stanów Zjednoczonich i Polski!

I´m glad you loved this city, too that felt really a lot like old Europe^^
Warsaw was a big tragedy and I´m really sad this beauty was destroyed,
the Nazis and Soviets were awful there.
We suffered the same fate with the anglo-american bombing of our
cities.

Yes you mean the Kahlenberg (burg is always castle, berg is mountain^^),
where Poles and Germans side by side removed the kebabs XD

Indeed I do mean Kahlenberg, and thank you for that! It's really quite a shame; many German cities were bombed by the Allies even more than the Nazis bombed British cities, and as a result much cultural wealth was lost, same as in Warsaw. It's a good thing that we have all learned from our mistakes (except Russia) and are helping each other out now.

But it was good that the Nazis lost. Of course I make maps of alternate history
where the german expulsion never happened, but don´t think I would want
that any people die for border changes, that would be stupid.

But hey I read the polish cities rebuild all the historical buildings and also a bit
in Germany, especially in Dresden. So we can visit each otehr^^

Austria is often overlooked as a massive cultural country however I think that Austria is on par with France, Britain, Italy and Germany.

No wonder it was a Great Power, but all forget it. And Wien was never bombed as
much as Berlin, so it keep its cultural heritage.

gaaaanz langsam habe ich gelesen, baut man wieder etwas schöner in den Großstädten,
so abartig wie zwischen 1945 und 2000 scheint es oft nicht mehr zu sein^^

BillyAustria In reply to Arminius1871 [2015-12-22 15:03:28 +0000 UTC]
