Description I am Armoured-Lemming, and zis if my model.

Okay so heres the 3rd model in my TeamFortress 2 model set, Hailing from Soviet Russia and wielding several hundred pounds of Minigun, The Heavy Weapons guy!

this model took just over 2 weeks in total mostly because of trial and error on getting the arms and height to work, not to mention building the minigun from scratch!

Heres how the construction went:

Head/torso/legs: I love Games Workshop for this, what origionally inspired me to make the heavy model was this:[link] 'Imperial Guard: Gunnery Sergeant Harker' so i ended up buying it online and getting to work!

For the head all i had to do was lengthen the jawline with green stuff and file off the mohawk.

The torso was a little trickier, first i took a saw and cut along the torso's stomach, then pulled the model upwards, straightening him up a little more and adding another foot to the models height (scale wise i mean ofc) and filled in the gaping whole with green stuff, then used evem more to add a more rotund belly as well as some repairwork after i had to cut off the origional arms what there fixed to the torso.

Finally for the legs i filed off most of the pockets as well as some odd cloth hanging along his left leg.

Arms: I used some old 40K Ork boyz shoota arms, the hands where the perfect size and green stuff took care of making them even bulkier but more flabby too, it took a few changes though, constant filing, sawing and green stuff to get them in the right position though.

Sasha The Minigun: The heavy's minigun was made from 14 seperate pieces of random objects, the main barrel for example was made from the inside part of a gel pen, the tip from a metal part of a clothing security tag, the main ammo drum from the outside of a pen as well as alot of green stuff and a paperclip spine to support it all inside, i did try making the barrels seperate but was mind-numbingly painful to even attempt, and just went for painting the barrels on instead, sorry!

Additional: i recovered the heavy boltgun ammo belt from the Harker model as best i could and then bent it into shape and filed it on one side as best i could to reduce how far the ammo would stick out from the model.

Notes: Facial stubble is such a bitch to try and paint, it took me 4 attempts before i was even remotely happy with the finished result and even then im not totally satisfied.

I also know that the back handle of the gun is missing, just use your imagionation, i just dont have the tools the bend paperclips too well, and i was worried it would of looked a mess if i tried.

Hope you all enjoyed this, now if you'll excuse me im off, have a craving for a sandvich...

you know if i have been thinking about making a model of bill for over a year now... but to be honest i dont think id just want to make him as a model, more a diorama based on 'the sacrifice'.

if you havent seen the comic valve did id recomment it to anyone, but theres a scene where Bill is smacked against a power generator and two tanks are baring down on him from the doorway, he just aims his M-16, smokes a light, and takes them on.

most bad-ass character ive ever seen, not bad for a guy in his 70's(?) and yeah guard stuff would be ideal, maybe a little empire militia as there arms are a little thinner and there an old man's head i can use... hmmmm...
