Description

It was a beautiful day for secret, arcane experiments. Ophelia Dusk spent much of her spare time reading about magic, when she wasn't practicing her poses or searching for gemstones. The text she was currently studying was particularly intriguing, but its runes were somewhat difficult to decipher. Luckily, the shining maiden Ophelia was equal to the challenge!

"This right here... retreat spell? Escape spell? No, that's not quite right..."

But that was when any hopes of a peaceful day fled. The footsteps Ophelia heard were frighteningly familiar to her. Those made only by the boots of a demon.

"She's here..." Ophelia breathed, facing herself for the terrible confrontation that was to come...

"Hey, Ophelia! What's a cutie like you doing down here?"

She had been seen. She had to act now, else be tormented by the pink-haired devil. In that moment, her mind went to that curious spell she had found, and the escape it possibly promised.

"Come on, let's get out of this place! How about you and me find somewhere nice and quiet for tea?"

"Not today, she-devil!" Ophelia spun around, "for I have the perfect spell to foil your forceful invitations! Behold!"

Ophelia cast the spell without delay, the shining magic that would cause her to vanish before Soleil's eyes...

That was what happened. But not in the way she expected. When her body absorbed the magic, Ophelia found herself shooting downward, and somehow inward. She thought it was teleporting her below the floor, which would have been acceptable, if inconvinient. But she found she was still standing on the floorboards. Or rather, the somehow massive single floorboard that was beneath her feet.

"What in the name of... everything is huge! No, wait..."

Only then did the true name of the spell make sense to her.

"That was... a spell of reduction! I've shrunk!"

Worse, Soleil was now relatively massive to her belittled body.

"Ophelia? Where did you go?"

The swordswoman wandered in deeper, looking for her friend. Her boots came dangerously close, causing Ophelia to shriek and dive out of the way. Her panicked sound attracted the demon's attention.

"Whoa! A tiny Ophelia!" Soleil shouted, deafening the miniaturized mage, "did your spell do that?"

Ophelia didn't answer, instead scrambling away. She didn't know she would be easily captured by her massive friend. Smaller than a doll, the shrunken Ophelia stood no chance of breaking out of Soleil's grip.

Standing at her full height once more, Soleil marveled at her catch.

"A... a tiny Ophelia... cute... you're so cute!"

Ophelia could feel her beaming smile, radiance so bright it was burning her belittled body.

"Soleil! Let me go!" Ophelia demanded, but the other woman squealed in response.

"Aww, what an adorable little voice! You were so cute before, but now... I think I might faint from happiness!"

No matter how much she squirmed, Ophelia couldn't break free from the foul demon's deathly grasp.

"I can't believe it! My very own pocket-sized Ophelia! I'll keep you as my little friend forever!"
