Description I wanted to give this sort of a fruit commercial thing. Lots of eye candy and bubbles and bright colored fruits. Very whimsical and fun

I love these types of pictures, the whole fruit splash thing. I think you picked a great word to describe the image, "whimsical." I've never thought of the concept that way but looking at this, it sort of makes sense. Great job!

hum, interesting, but is the water at the top of the image supposed to look all pixelated?
Or is it just my computer?

Well it's not an extremely high resolution version. But thank you

my favorite food in the whole world! fruit. It would have been better if you made the background a different color(s) other than white, which seems to be traditional fruit in water color.

Thanks for the input (and the favorite)! I know white is traditional, but there's a reason for it. It makes the fruit pop from the background.

Are you talking about the spinning circle of water with the raspberries about halfway down the image? You know how if you take 2 coke bottles, put water in them, and turn them upsidedown you get like a tornado? The vortex is a composite from several pictures of things like that. The whole image is just pieces of different images.

Love the effect and the colors and everything..
Just wondering why it looks like it has 2 layers of water?

thanks! Oh it looks like it has 2 layers of water because there's water, and then a swirlin water thingy underneath it.

Oh thanks! I've been working with photoshop for about 4 years, so I've had lots of time to get really good at it, and get the effect I want, but I find I don't usually have a set amount of photos that a picture takes. What the picture needs I get a different picture for each part. This picture used between 20 and 30 photos

How are you looking through the water like that??? Did you drop it into a large glass bowl??? I'm mystified. It's beautiful by the way.

aRogue In reply to 311surfchik [2008-06-14 17:31:28 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! It's actually a composite of several images of fruit dropped into water, some on a white background which made them easier to put together. The water and splashes were added to. The spinning whirlpool going horizontal was particularly hard to do because I had to put it together from several images. The images aren't mine, I got them from various sources.
